Artificial Intelligence is rapidly transforming software and software development capabilities with AI-augmented assistance and features in coding environments. To support this new paradigm, Spreedly's documentation has been optimized for AI integrations, helping you build faster and more effectively.

There are several features that help enable AI assistants and developers to interact with our documentation, helping to quickly access relevant content and streamline routine tasks. From building out complex routing logic and writing code to interact with Spreedly's API, to looking for answers about a specific endpoint or finding the right gateway, these tools can also support various LLM-enabled workflows. Since late 2024, Spreedly has introduced:

AI-Enabled Search: Use our documentation search bar to ask questions in natural language and find the most relevant pages, API reference content, and guides, reducing the time you spend looking for information.
'Ask AI' Experience: On this site, use the 'Ask AI' dropdown to open a chat directly with your preferred AI assistant (i.e. ChatGPT, Claude) for targeted Q&A, to generate code examples or summarize key concepts.
LLM Guidance with llms.txt: We provide a /llms.txt file to give AI models clear, machine-readable instructions on how to consume, process, and understand Spreedly content effectively in its intended context.

These features can facilitate early, simple ways to help integrate and optimize your Spreedly integration using LLMs and AI-powered workflows.

The following table in this guide will reflect up-to-date guidance on all existing AI-enabled developer tooling, as further advancements unlock additional updates in this area.

AI search	AI-augmented search bar provides accelerated access to desired answers and content identification.	Press 'Enter' following your natural language query in our documentation search to find quick answers or the right starting point. Ideal for high-level, single query use cases (e.g. "Which gateways can I use for partial-capture?")
'Ask AI'	From a dropdown on every guide, open a new LLM chat window for specialized tasks.	From the dropdown menu, initiate LLM-chat with preferred AI assistant for targeted context and workflows. For example, generating code for a specific `purchase` call or explaining a new gateway integration.
LLM-readable	Copy guides content to clipboard as markdown, or use the `/llms.txt` file in your workflow.	Pages are available in markdown format with `.md` added to the URL or can be viewed/copied from the 'Ask AI' menu. For example: <https://developer.spreedly.com/docs/advanced-vault.md>.
