# Update to payment_method.card_type Maestro

**Date**: Feb 12, 2025

**Details**: Today, Spreedly has updated the `payment_method.card_type` for BIN 504639 from `maestro` to `tarjeta_sol`. This update is now in effect for both new and existing payment methods.

**Impact**: All existing payment methods associated with BIN 504639 now reflect the new `payment_method.card_type` value. New payment methods created from today onward will automatically use the updated value if created with iframe v1 or the API. This change will continue to follow the iframe [scheduled release process](https://developer.spreedly.com/docs/iframe-payment-form#scheduled-releases). [BIN Metadata](https://developer.spreedly.com/docs/bin-metadata) will remain unchanged.

**Questions or Concerns**: If you need assistance or have any questions about this change, please contact [Spreedly Support](https://support.spreedly.com/hc/en-us/requests/new).
